We have even more exclusive screenshots from Aion to present you with today. Perfect to browse through as you (hopefully) relax during the weekend. Point of view is from myself playing a cleric at high graphic settings, as I continue to level up and discover a new combo ability. The other batch of screenshots is from a sorcerer, where she show several new areas, party play and more. The graphic settings of the sorcerer is low to medium.

Exclusive Video and Screenshots

I've posted over 90 exclusive screenshots and a 13min video of me creating a Cleric and leveling from 1 to 4 in Aion. You can also see me exploring the world a bit and I sell some of the items I've looted in order to afford flying to a new area with a bird. The view when flying is great!

71 of the screenshots show my adventures from level one to four, while the other images showcase a sorcerer and an assassin. We've posted exclusive content from them before and we're happy to get another batch of eyecandy.

Note: The fps in the video is fairly low due to me running the game at maximum settings with a GF 7900 GTX. I have to upgrade my card.

Two new Aion screenshots can be viewed below! What MMO have you played that actually let your character stand on multiple steps and actually use the environment in front of him to the fullest? Even in some of the seemingly next-gen MMO's today, not one incorporates little details like the stairs in the second screenshot. Aion seems to include many small details like this.

New Aion Information Available

We have some new information regarding Aion that was talked about at the recent Jeju Island Conference on June 20th. There was an interview performed at the conference with one of Aion's developers and they shared quite a bit of new info.

First of all, there is going to be in-game customization of armor using color potions(dyes more than likely) and different cloth styles. There is also consideration being given to allowing armor itself to be customizable, which would allow different stats for the same armor items.

The death penalty for players was discussed as well: while there will be no items dropped when dying, there will be a minimal experience penalty incurred.

The upcoming 1st CBT will offer game-play for Elyos (Chun) until level 20, with PVP arenas also being available. While flying will be possible in some areas during this play session, it will not be possible to fight while flying - so no flying combat just yet. The Asmodians will also not be available for play yet.

A player's wings can be traded with other players, and can also be dyed with special color potions, much like armor. There will also be different variants of wings available to further customize the look.

Aion will have chain attacks, similar to other games like FFXI, and the developer suggested that they will be very important to combat. Different classes will be able to chain abilities together to take advantage of one another, such as one character using a knock-down attack, and another following it up with an attack that's strong against knocked down foes.

Of the 8 classes announced so far, they will most likely all be the same or similar for the Asmodians, though the advanced classes will probably differ.

On top of this new information, we also have a few images showing off armor art for different types of armor in Aion. Once again, NCSoft shows off their ability to create impressive-looking armor.
