Seriously people being able to spam shattered shadow doesn't make you a good sorc. Learn to do burst dmg and take people from 100% to death in seconds and you will be doing way more for the group!
This screenshot is me doing 120k dmg at level 15, I have no doubts you could get that high at lvl 8 providing the right circumstances (MT!) Frankly if you are basing how well you do on how much dmg you do, if you're not getting over 100k a game you are pretty bad, or the enemy is spread out.
